The 2014 Martin Luther King Day of Service will offer the opportunity for individuals, families and groups to serve together to strengthen the community and serve others.

 

This year’s will service projects will include:

 

AMEN Ministries 

Pasquotank County Schools

Girls Inc.

Hopeline Thrift Store

As well as other non-profits, community projects, shelters and services.

 

Tasks may include:

Cleaning . Painting . Organizing . Landscaping . Window washing

Filter changing . Stacking . Sorting . Repair . Re-purpose

No job too small or too insignificant   


This is a your opportunity to be Christ’s hands and feet

                                            in service to others in our community.

 

What supplies to bring:

Paper Towels . Windex . Spray Cleaners . Bleach . Comet

Trash bags . Rags . Vinyl gloves                

 

What tools to bring:

Paint Brushes . Rollers . Scrapers . Shovels . Rakes

Ladders Hoses Sprayers Mulch Forks    Pick

Brooms Dust pans Push Brooms  Blowers Mowers

Edger Screwdrivers   Pliers  Sockets Hammers

8:30 – 9:30      MLK Day of Service                MACU’s Chesson Gym

9:30 – 1:00      Morning Service Projects or Elizabeth City MLK Day March

11:30 – 1:30    Lunch MACU’s Chesson Gym by MACU Student Life $5.00

1:00 – 4:30      Afternoon Service Projects

4:30 – 7:30      MLK Day Classic Basketball Tournament
